About

When first meeting me, you’ll find that I can be the quiet type. Myers-Briggs identifies me as an INFJ–I’m not really sure how to take that, but it is what it is. After you get to know me, I’m pretty much like an open book. I have an eclectic taste in music. I enjoy writing and believe that I express myself better through that medium. I also enjoy reading and can be a little too ADD when it comes to reading (at one point, I was reading 6 books simultaneously.)

I’ll try anything once. It’s how I discovered the wonderful world of coffee and sushi. Some of my favorite bands that I’d love to see in concert one day are Coldplay, U2, and Keane.

I’m a bit of a nerd. I have a good appreciation for Sci-Fi–some of my favorite shows are Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Big Bang Theory, and The Office. People tend to find my out-of-the-blue comments weird and funny at the same time. I’m continuously amazed at the world in which we live in and ponder the mysteries of the outdoor world.

I have a relationship with Jesus and, though it sounds cliche, honestly don’t know where I’d be without him. He’s brought me through so much. My life wasn’t filled with drugs, a broken home, or the like, but I strived to find my identity through other means–sexual immorality; trying to buy my way into God’s graces; and continuously trying to “fit in” with the wrong crowd for social acceptance. Fortunately for me, God met me where I was and extended a brand new, fresh start to life, allowing me to live in the freedom of serving Jesus. I know that last statement is an oxymoron, but ask me more about it and I’ll explain.

Currently, I’m serving on staff at UVA and VCU in the great state of Virginia as a campus pastor through Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. I’m married to this wonderful girl, Brooke, who is my co-worker, fellow-movie watcher, lifelong friend, and (not to mention) extremely gorgeous!
